In the renowned peninsula of Samaná, on the north atlantic coast of the Dominican Republic, discover a charming hotel with Caribbean style bungalows in tropical gardens, a few steps away from the beach
In Samaná, the warm and temperate climate, cooled by the trade winds, boast temperatures between 25 and 32 degrees celcius all year around. Its tourist industry has not yet exploited the full potential of its location: the tropical forests, coconut groves, hundreds of cozy alcove beaches with turquoise crystal clear waters, waterfalls and protected national parks.
The village of Las Terrenas offers a wide choice of services and facilities: typical Dominican and international restaurants, supermarkets, souvenir shops, Haitian and Dominican art galleries, banks, international communication offices, Internet Café, bars, nightclubs, rental of cars, quads and motorbikes...
Other than beach life, Samaná offers multiple possibilities starting with the waterfalls of El Limon. Located 14 km from Las Terrenas, El Limon is composed of two waterfalls of 10 and 50 meters high. For trekking fans, you can walk all the way there (about 1 hour) and discover stunning views on the way. The excursion can also be done on horse-back.
Samaná is also famous for being one of the few breeding places of the humpback whale.
Thousands of whales leave the cold waters of the northern atlantic and come to the sheltered bay of Samaná from January to March.
They can be observed from boats or from the coast. Boat excursions can be organized with marine biologists and whales specialists.
We can help you organize all excursions and activities.
Additionaly, if you wish to spend a night in the historical colonial quarter of the capital Santo Domingo, we can book a room for you in a partner hotel in the historical colonial area and arrange your transfer to Las Terrenas by coach, taxi or plane.
